Spaghetti Marinara Recipe

(serves 4)

- A pack of linguine (16 ounces)
- Olive oil
- 2 cloves of minced garlic
- 1 shallot
- 1 tomato, cubed
- 1 egg (beaten)
- A few slices of ham
- A handful of mixed peas, corn and carrots
- A few crabmeat sticks (sliced)
- Canned mushrooms (sliced)
- Prawns/shrimps/clams (optional)
- Italian herbs mixture, salt, pepper
- Prego's Marinara sauce
- Shredded cheese

1. In a pot of water (3l), add 2 teaspoons of salt and leave it to boil at high heat.

2. Once the water's boiling, stir in the linguine and leave it to boil again.

3. Cook the pasta uncovered and stir to prevent the pasta from sticking to the bottom of the pot. Cook for around 10 minutes (or when it's al dente).

5. Drain well.

6. Add a teaspoon of olive oil into heated pan. Stir in garlic, shallots, egg, sliced ham, mushrooms, mixed peas, crabmeat sticks, tomatoes (and shrimps/clams/prawns).

7. Then, heat the Prego sauce together with the ingredients.

8. Add water till desired thickness, and season with Italian herbs, salt and pepper.

9. Serve pasta with sauce. Sprinkle shredded cheese onto pasta for taste.
