Pan Seared Salmon with Lemon Butter Sauce

While rummaging through the fridge the other day, I found a chunk of leftover butter. I can't possibly use it to bake anything, so might as well incorporate it into some new dish to experiment on.

Further scouring procured me a slab of fresh salmon, some lemons, onions, garlic, leftover Alfredo pasta cream, and italian herbs.

Now this sounds like a new recipe...

- Fresh Salmon, sliced into slabs
- Corn Starch
- Salt
- Pepper
- Italian herbs
- Alfredo sauce
- Sliced onions
- 2 cloves of minced garlic
- Lemon slices
- Salted butter

1. Heat saucepan over medium heat.

2. Melt a tablespoonful of butter and squeeze the juice from a slice of lemon into the pan.

3. Sear the salmon slabs (coated with corn starch, salt, pepper, and italian herbs) in the pan.

4. Continue flipping the salmon and searing till it is fully cooked.

5. Place salmon in plate and start stir-frying the minced garlic till golden and crispy.

6. Sprinkle fried garlic over the salmon.

7. Stir-fry onion slices and use them to garnish the salmon.

8. Heat Alfredo sauce over pan , add in some lemon juice and butter, and pour over salmon. (Alternatively, you can always make your own Alfredo sauce using heavy cream, butter, parmesan cheese, garlic and italian herbs.)

9. Serve dish with a few more lemon slices. (To sprinkle over salmon if you prefer it with a stronger lemon flavour.)
